Decades of Trusted Security Service
1972
On July 1, 1972, we opened for business at 1313 St. Germain Street in downtown St. Cloud with the goal of providing our community the best locksmith services at a fair price. While security technology has evolved rapidly since then, our commitment to quality and value remain the backbone of our business.
1988
Security Locksmiths opened a storefront in Monticello managed by Dave Raduenz. Due to low volume, the decision was later made to close the Monticello location and service those clients from the St. Cloud office.
1990
After moving our business twice in nearly as many decades, we built our current facility at 2040 7th Street N. This 3,500 sq. ft. facility features two service bays and ample off-street parking for large vehicles and vehicles with trailers, allowing us to better meet the needs of our customers.
2010
Security Locksmiths acquired the assets of Brannan’s Locksmith in Waite Park allowing us the opportunity to serve a diverse set of additional customers.
2022
Fifty years after we opened our doors, second-generation owner Steve Bares sold the company to Anthony Jensen and his business partner, Aaron Haakonson. Anthony is a 15-year veteran of the industry as both a locksmith and power limited technician, while Aaron brings 17 years of entrepreneurship and business experience to our team.
Today
Our tight-knit team serves the Central Minnesota area with a renewed emphasis on electronic security solutions and technologies. Our four service vehicles allow us to provide the prompt service and peace of mind our clients deserve. We are grateful for our longevity and success thus far and look forward to the next 50 years of Security Lock Technologies!
